LakeSmart Program Manager

The Maine Lakes Society is a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and preserving the values and benefits of Maine’s lakes, ponds, and watersheds for future generations through science-based action, education and advocacy. We are currently accepting applications for the position of LakeSmart Program Manager to oversee and grow our flagship LakeSmart program.

The LakeSmart Program Manager will foster partnerships with member lake associations, develop and execute trainings around the state, maintain collaborations with other lake conservation colleagues and organizations; manage databases and online data entry apps; grow a volunteer program with more than 170 active volunteers across the state; help develop and implement LakeSmart communications campaigns; and assist with development and fund-raising activities to ensure long-term sustainability of the program. The successful candidate will work both independently and as part of a team, be committed to Maine’s lakes, and have a passion for working directly with volunteers.
